On March 26, the China-ASEAN Institute of Energy was officially inaugurated in Nanning city, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. Jointly established by CSG Guangxi Power Grid Corporation and Guangxi University, it is the first officially recognized China-ASEAN energy institute in the country. The institute brings together resources from energy enterprises, universities, and industry associations across China and ASEAN countries, aiming to build a platform with international influence for talent development, technical exchange, and energy cooperation.
The institute will focus on the framework of "two bases and one alliance" in its development: a talent training base serving the ASEAN energy sector, a China-ASEAN base for industry-education and science-education integration, and a technical exchange alliance oriented to the ASEAN energy field. It will use "talent training and technical exchange" as its core approach. The institute will launch a variety of collaborative programs, including international student education, joint research projects, vocational skills training, and customized training for international energy professionals — laying the foundation for a multi-channel, in-depth, and comprehensive model of international talent exchange and cooperation.
