From April 7 to 9, CSG hosted the International Super Large Power Grid Operators (GO15) Storage Workshop, Governing Board Meeting 2025, and a series of related activities in Shenzhen and Guangzhou cities, Guangdong province. The events brought together 40 representatives from power grid operators across more than ten countries, including China, France, South Africa, Brazil, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the United States, and Russia. Participants discussed the future of power system safety, reliability, and sustainability amid the global energy transition.
Representatives from the GO15 Secretariat and member organizations visited the CSG Dispatching Control Center, Shenzhen Power Supply Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Pumped Storage Power Station, Lianhua Hill Supercharging Station, and the Guangzhou Power BoxTM Science Center.
During the Storage Workshop, experts from various countries held in-depth discussions on the construction and application of energy storage power stations. CSG Energy Storage Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Power Grid Corporation shared CSG's latest innovations in pumped storage and new-type energy storage, as well as breakthroughs in cutting-edge technologies such as smart microgrids combining distributed photovoltaics and energy storage, electric-hydrogen integration, and flexible DC transmission for offshore wind power.
In addition, CSG held bilateral meetings with six GO15 member organizations, including the Gulf Cooperation Council Interconnection Authority (GCCIA), Grid-India, and the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) from the US, strengthening ties and laying a solid foundation for future collaboration.
